Custom Acoustics Fabric Track

A practical, locally obtainable track-and-fabric system for integrating concealed acoustic treatment, loudspeakers and architectural details into private-cinema walls.

This is the practical South African implementation route for the fabric-wall architecture explained elsewhere on this site.

The system includes 33 mm edge profiles, middle or joining profiles, inside-corner details and installation accessories. A middle profile with an integrated LED diffuser allows the acoustic finish and a linear-lighting detail to be coordinated within the same wall language.

Ares acoustically transparent fabric completes the visible surface. Behind it, the acoustic design can place suitable mineral-fibre or other treatment, concealed loudspeakers and planned service zones. The precise build-up remains room-specific.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Designed as a complete architectural surface.

Components are selected and detailed together rather than treated as unrelated accessories.

0133 mm track

Edge, middle and inside-corner profiles establish the wall geometry and fabric tension.

02Ares fabric

An acoustically transparent finish suitable for covering treatment and loudspeakers, with a broad colour palette.

03Concealed treatment

Absorption and other devices are placed behind the finish according to the acoustic design.

04LED integration

A joining profile with diffuser offers a clean route to coordinated linear lighting details.

Conceptual assembly visual. Final framing, treatment depth, loudspeaker clearance, fire performance and access detailing must be resolved for the project.
BEHIND THE FINISH

A 33 mm track defines the finish depth, not the complete acoustic cavity.

The profile provides a consistent edge for tensioning the fabric. The useful acoustic depth may extend behind that plane, using framed cavities, stand-off battens or deeper speaker and bass-control zones where the design requires them.

Before installation, coordinate backing surfaces, cable routes, loudspeaker toe-in and clearance, removable access areas, skirtings, door frames, ventilation grilles and lighting drivers. Once the fabric is tensioned, these decisions should already be settled.

Selection of Ares acoustically transparent fabric colours
Ares fabric palette. The supplied catalogue presents 65 colours. Physical samples should be assessed in the cinema's actual lighting because dark fabrics, grazing light and projection spill can change perceived colour and texture.
WHY IT MATTERS

Local availability changes the project risk.

A system obtainable through South African distribution is easier to price, coordinate and replenish than a US reference product that would need project-specific import planning.

WHAT IT DOES NOT CHANGE

The product is not the acoustic design.

Track and fabric create the finish. Treatment type, depth, coverage and speaker integration still have to be engineered for the room.
